Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work of DC supervisors, team leads and hourly associates to achieve key performance indicators, including safety metrics, units per hour (or per day), accuracy, speed of delivery, and space utilization.
Maintains and holds the supervisory team accountable to maintaining distribution center safety and cleanliness.
Directly supervises multiple supervisors, potentially across multiple shifts.
Implements procedural changes and process enhancements as needed to increase productivity.
Analyzes productivity reporting to make decisions within DC operations.
Responsible for communicating and assigning both short-term tasks and long-term initiatives to the supervisory leadership teams to ensure they are correctly and completely-finished in a timely manner.
Actively supports inventory initiatives and drives strategy to maintain FIFO inventory system and control shrink.
Provides training on SOPs, as well as ongoing coaching for supervisors and associates when questions or problems arise.
Administers and applies all policies and procedures directed by other departments such as HR, Safety Officer.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training a diverse workforce; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bachelor Degree from a four-year college or university.
5-7 years or more of distribution center experience and 5 years or more of distribution supervisory or managerial experience.
Basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office.
SAP knowledge (especially Order Handling, Warehouse & Shipping modules)
