Report to: Supply Chain Director Responsibilities:
Assesses the industry and the product type, including demand from consumers, competitor review, supplier capabilities, capacities & competencies, in relation to company future demand for that product type.
Identifies key competencies that need to developed for, or added to, the product supplier base.
Works directly with suppliers to ensure the necessary supplier infrastructure is in place to execute the product plan.
Responsible for selecting and approval of local and overseas suppliers who will satisfy the company quality standards.
Evaluates, analyses and negotiates with suppliers to achieve most competitive prices for bakery, dairy, meat and other food items.
Responsible for the operation of the Distribution Centre (DC) to provide lowest cost, best quality and consistently high level service to all restaurants.
Utilizes logistic and packaging expertise to purchase the most cost effective food and packaging items within the company system of approved suppliers.
Provides direction and is responsible for implementing quality program with distribution center (DC) and suppliers.
Co-ordinates with Purchasing Group on sourcing and approval of new local or regional suppliers.
Demonstrates a genuine understanding and need for internal and external parties to comply with the highest standards and is passionate about reinforcing them at every opportunity
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any related field.
Experience in procurement with related services category sourcing.
Strong influencing, negotiation and relationship management skills
